I’m Steven, I'm a product design leader working across streaming, entertainment and digital experiences.
At BBC iPlayer, I've led multidisciplinary teams to turn ambitious ideas into meaningful experiences for millions of viewers. I bring together audience insight, creative direction and product thinking to shape experiences that connect people with the content they love.
Born in Yorkshire with Scottish roots, I’m now based in Harrogate with my wife and daughter. Outside of design, I write, produce, and direct films through Wayside Trinity, alongside a love for running, cycling, cooking, and travel.
I believe the best creative work happens when people unite around a shared vision. I’m particularly drawn to projects that blend storytelling, technology, and culture.

More recently, I’ve spent the last four years at BBC iPlayer helping shape large-scale streaming experiences, from Whoniverse, World Cup 2026 and other major live events to next-generation destination pages for TV platforms.
