I’m Steven, a creative focused on storytelling, audience experiences, and building worlds people want to spend time in.
My work spans streaming, entertainment, and digital product design. I enjoy bringing teams together, shaping creative direction, and turning ambitious ideas into meaningful audience experiences.
Born in Yorkshire with Scottish roots, I’m now based in Harrogate with my wife and daughter. Outside of design, I write, produce, and direct films through Wayside Trinity, alongside a love for running, cycling, cooking, and travel.
I believe the best creative work happens when people unite around a shared vision. I’m particularly drawn to projects that blend storytelling, technology, and culture, especially experiences that bring audiences together around shared moments.

I’ve worked across agency, in-house and public service teams, helping shape products, campaigns and audience experiences across entertainment, sport and broadcast.
More recently, I’ve spent the last four years at BBC iPlayer helping shape large-scale streaming experiences, from Whoniverse, World Cup 2026 and other major live events to next-generation destination pages for TV platforms.
